Escape in Style

A perfect blend of contemporary design and authentic DNA; exhilarating sports performance and agile dynamic handling delivered with classic style and character.

Stunning

Stunning and uncompromising, the Speed Twin 1200’s sleek, minimal design has evolved. The raked fuel tank, with its deep front cutouts, is chiseled and muscular, while the minimal throttle body covers are finished in brushed aluminum and integrated seamlessly into sculpted side panels within the slim rear frame. Underneath, the lean, angular engine casings are powder-coated black and framed by an uninterrupted exhaust run flowing into twin upswept ‘megaphone’ silencers.

Modern features, like the compact LED taillight and headlight, with its distinctive light signature, are joined by classic design touches – from machined-cooling fins on the cylinder head and finned-header roses, to traditional twin rear shocks and a slim one-piece bench seat. Complemented by premium materials and finishes, like the brushed aluminum headlight bezel and heel guards, it’s a look that delivers contemporary design with timeless style.

Capable

Balanced, natural and confidence-inspiring, the Speed Twin is built for the curves.

Roomy, comfortable and engaging, the Speed Twin 1200 places the bars at your fingertips, with a seat height of 31.88in (810mm) and natural foot peg position, ensuring an easy and intuitive ride.

Dynamic

Tuned to deliver unrivaled agility with the compliance for real-world rides, the 43mm (1.69in) Marzocchi USD forks are matched to high-specification twin Marzocchi rear shocks, with remote reservoirs and adjustable preload for precisely controlled damping that delivers a confidence-inspiring ride.

Under hard braking, courtesy of the powerful radial brake calipers, feedback and control is pure sports, while the initial part of the suspension stroke remains supple for great comfort when the surface is less than perfect.

High-specification Metzeler Sportec M9RR tires are fitted to stylish lightweight cast aluminum 7-spoke wheels, translating the Speed Twin 1200’s dynamic ability to the road with a perfect mix of grip, stability and agility.

Thrilling

Thrilling sports performance comes courtesy of the legendary Bonneville twin. Boasting the latest technology, yet full of classic character, this 1200cc engine packs 103.5 HP (105 PS) peak power at 7,750rpm, with instant response thanks to its rich torque delivery peaking at 82.6 LB-FT (112Nm) at 4,250rpm. And with a deep and distinctive Bonneville soundtrack from the twin ‘megaphone’ silencers, it comes along with an unmistakable sound.

Confident

Adding modern capability without diluting the Speed Twin’s classic character, the latest technology was carefully incorporated for greater confidence in all conditions. Lean-sensitive Optimized cornering ABS and Traction Control gives peace of mind when making the most of the performance available across different surfaces and riding conditions, and with two riding modes — Road and Rain — this electronic intervention, as well as the throttle mapping is tailored to ensure a pure riding experience with intuitive feel and control on every ride.

Functionality with Style

The neat single instrument dial features two displays. A large LCD screen shows all key riding information, with speed, engine revs, gear indicator and fuel level, all clearly visible at a glance in all lighting conditions. Underneath, the integrated color TFT screen provides information on rider modes and other bike functions and is compatible with turn-by-turn navigation and phone connectivity via the accessory My Triumph Module. It also makes it easy to power external mobile devices thanks to a convenient USB-C charging socket mounted on the side of the unit.

Personal

From customizing the look, tailoring the comfort or adding protection and practicality, there’s an extensive range of genuine accessories available, and the Triumph Online Configurator makes it easy to create your perfect Speed Twin 1200.
